Under the auspices of the GHAIN project, HU/PACE leads the project efforts to train pharmacists so that they might strengthen pharmacy services in health facilities and at the community level. We are hereby seeking qualified candidates registered with Pharmacist Council of Nigeria to fill the position below:
Pharmacy Specialist
Location: (Osun)
Responsibilities:
- Works under the supervision of the Pharmacy Specialist 11 in the zone and in close collaboration with the other project partner zonal office personnel to ensure the delivery of quality pharmacy related HIV/AIDS, and related services at both community and facility points of service
- Functions as the zonal level and LGA level pharmacy services expert and liaison
- Provides technical leadership for the clinical pharmacy practice and logistic component of the GHAI’N district level community based operations
- Implement HUCE-PACE strategies for building pharmacist capacity to deliver quality pharmaceutical care services especially as it relates to integrated provision of treatment car and support for HIV/AIDS, 01, STI, Reproductive Health and TB in both facility and community pharmacies within the zone
- Collaborates with other partners to implement zonal program Monitoring and Evaluation plan in line with country office plan
- Provides additional support for facility drug inventory control
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Requirement:
- At least a Degree in Pharmacy with a minimum of seven (7) years practice experience inclusive of Hospital and Community practice.
- A minimum of two (2) years work experience in the field of monitoring of pharmacy services.
- A minimum of two (2) years practical experience in the delivery of comprehensive
- HIV/AIDS services and good understanding of the technical issues relate to comprehensive HIV/AIDS programming and implementation.
- A minimum of one (1) year experience working with local and international development partners.
- Higher degree in clinical pharmacy or public health is added advantage
- Ability to use key computing applications and knowledge of different database (e.g. MS Excel’ MS Access, DHIS or LAMIS) is essential
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
- Demonstrable team spirit and strong desire to actively contribute to team objectives
- Willingness to extend working hours to meet deadlines and at short notice
- Ability to function effectively in multi-disciplinary teams to produce excellent results under pressure
Job Circumstances: The job involves at least 30% local travel at short notice
